Living the instagram life
The instagram life that no one is living.... actually I applaud you if you are, but we really know your not!
We all fall victim to it! The insta life were everything looks amazing, and looks like your living your best life. I will hold my hands up I am one of the worst for it and the first one to do it.
But actually some days just go to shit. It’s ok not to live the perfect life because we’re all different and life would be boring if we were all the same and living the perfect life! And it’s ok not to take the perfect picture because after all we never laugh at the “perfect” ones do we?
Some mornings I wake up early after having 4 hours sleep straight through the night an make everyone organic smoothies & pancakes for breakfast and feel like a goddess. - (Pictures get taken)
Some mornings I have about 5 minuets sleep straight we lie in an eat breakfast bars. - (No pictures get taken)
Some days we go out all day on big longs walks looking at nature an wildlife. -(Pictures get taken)
Some days we watch mr tumble and Disney films for the whole day. - (No pictures get taken)
Some days my home is tidy, my washing basket is empty, my garden is done. (I must admit it’s not very often actually hardly ever all three are done).
Most days my home is messy, my washing basket is overflowing (with a sicky baby) and my garden is the last thing on my mind.
Some days the girls will pose for pictures.
Some days I have to use bribery of chocolate for photos (we’ve all done it) “I’ll give you some chocolate biscuits if you look at mummy and smile” Then the 52 pictures get taken and there’s still tears and still not a god enough picture for insta and I have to hand over a chocolate biscuit to an already grumpy 2 year old.
I do it myself when I’m going out I have taken about 16 selfies an non of them are right .... I couldn’t possibly put that on “my arm looks fat or you can see my wobbly tummy on that one”.
But why don’t we take these pictures when everything is going to shit? Because we want people to think we are ok and doing great all of the time.
Which is fab! but actually it’s ok not to have every single thing in hand and it’s ok not to be doing so great. We should be embracing our floors not criticising them.
We need to be kind and non judgemental to ourselves an also maybe more importantly to others to!
You cant buy time so enjoy the good moments as equally enjoying the bad. Take the photos with chocolate faces or messy hair, because there the ones you will remember.
